When Cuba Say They Will Drill Oil in the Gulf They Meant the Chinese

Everybody is drilling in the Gulf except for us. Price of oil skyrocketed this past week and Obama isn't doing anything about it. Telling us to trade in our car and buy a Chevy Volt is not very constructive.

Rush says when Cuba will drill off the Gulf, he meant the Chinese will drill in the Gulf

Story #8: Cuba to Drill 5 New Deepwater Oil Wells in Gulf

RUSH: "Cuba on Tuesday announced plans to drill five deepwater oil wells in the Gulf of Mexico beginning this summer, expressing confidence that its efforts will be rewarded with major new energy finds. 'We're about to move to the drilling phase,' said Manuel Marrero, an official with the government authority tasked with overseeing Cuba's oil sector." Now, we all know, everybody knows that Cuba does not have a drill. Cuba does not have a single thing. They barely have any dipsticks left to check the oil in the '57 Chevies that are sitting on the road blocks on the sides of the road in Havana. So who's actually drilling? Who's actually gonna be in partnership with Havana? It will be the ChiComs. So when it says here Cuba to drill five new oil wells, that's gonna be the ChiComs helping out. And you might have Hugo Chavez in there a bit. I mean Hugo Chavez is a big, big buddy with Fidel Castro.

Obama Would Not Mind Being President of China

If Obama want to be president of China, the America people wouldn't mind. Obama would help America's greatness by shifting loyalties.

(Weekly Standard) Mr. Obama has told people that it would be so much easier to be the president of China. As one official put it, ‘No one is scrutinizing Hu Jintao’s words in Tahrir Square.’”

Obama Seeks a Course of Pragmatism in the Middle East,” The New York Times, March 11, 2011.

Mr. Obama is right.

If you’re president of China, people around the world who are fighting for freedom don’t really expect you to help. If you’re president of China, you don’t have to put up with annoying off-year congressional elections, and then negotiate your budget with a bunch of gun-and-religion-clinging congressmen and senators. If you’re president of China, you can fund your national public radio to your heart’s content. And if you’re president of China, when you host a conference on bullying in schools, people take you seriously.

Unfortunately for him and us, Barack Obama is president of the United States. That job brings with it certain special responsibilities. It’s a tough job—maybe tougher than being president of China. But Barack Obama ran for president of the United States. Maybe he should start behaving as one.

Middle East Protest Reaches China

History has shown that the Chinese people yearn for a democracy. Under communist rule, the Chinese people are hungry, unemployed, suppressed, and practically living on the streets. The paranoia of the Chinese government is at its tipping point. Anything related toward a hint of a protest, the Chinese government will take no chances and quell the situation. Also, it is convenient for the Chinese government have full control of the Internet and monitor what information can be access by the Chinese people. It is really ironic how China is the second greatest world economy, but the people who reside there are dirt poor. Sooner or later a revolution will break loose in China. It is a matter of time.

(The Blaze) BEIJING (AP) — Chinese authorities cracked down on activists as a call circulated for people to gather in more than a dozen cities Sunday for a “Jasmine Revolution.”

The source of the call was not known, but authorities moved to halt its spread online. Searches for the word “jasmine” were blocked Saturday on China’s largest Twitter-like microblog, and the website where the request first appeared said it was hit by an attack.

Activists seemed not to know what to make of the call to protest, even as they passed it on. They said they were unaware of any known group being involved in the request for citizens to gather in 13 cities and shout “We want food, we want work, we want housing, we want fairness.”

China has limited reporting on the protests in the Middle East and quickly shuts down most protests at home.

Authorities appeared to be treating the protest call seriously. Families and friends reported the detention or harassment of several activists, and some said they had been warned not to participate Sunday.

Tensions were already high in recent days after a video secretly made under house arrest by one of China’s most well-known activist lawyers, Chen Guangcheng, was made public. Chen and his wife reportedly were beaten in response, and some of Chen’s supporters reported being detained or beaten by authorities after meeting to discuss his case.

The call for a “Jasmine Revolution” came as President Hu Jintao gave a speech to top leaders Saturday, asking them to “solve prominent problems which might harm the harmony and stability of the society.”

The ruling Communist Party is dogged by the threat of social unrest over rising food and housing prices and other issues.

In the latest price increase, the National Development and Reform Commission announced Saturday that gasoline and diesel prices would be raised by 350 yuan ($53) per ton.

Possible Military Showdown between Japan and China

Due to the aggressive and arrogant tone from the Chinese government, Japan is refocusing its army and military forces toward securing the line of small islands in the southern Nansei chain that stretches from Japan’s main islands toward Taiwan. This military decision by the Japanese government was initiated due to the threat by China's rapidly growing military power. In particular, the conflict between the two superpowers may stem from a territorial dispute. In September 2010, the Chinese government was irate in the arrest of a Chinese fishing boat captain that clashed with Japanese coast guard vessels near the Senkaku islands – known in China as the Diaoyu group – which Tokyo claims as part of their territory.

Originally, Japanese military were concentrated to the northern island of Hokkaido to defend against a feared full-scale invasion from the Soviet Union. Since there is no longer a threat with the Soviet Union, Japan is now concentrating more resources against a more viable threat with China.

Tokyo has already deployed more troops and military technology to the southern island of Okinawa. China has already deployed submarines and supersonic anti-ship missiles into the region. China's aggressive move is seen as a challenge for the US and Japanese military superiority in an area that includes sea lanes vital to the trade-dependent economy.

Students Set Own Agenda at School and U.S. Teens Lags as China Soars on Education

The problem with the education system in America stems from finding the right gimmick, instead of teaching our kids. It is a no-brainer. The reason America continues to fall behind other countries in education is because teachers don't know how to teach and parents opting to put their kids on Ritalin and mood enhancement drugs.

(Sun Sentinel) As public schools adopt tougher standards and emphasize standardized tests, alternative schools have become more popular.

"The regular public school system and even some private schools tend to operate under the paradigm that kids are lazy and need to be forced to learn,'' said Jerry Mintz, director of the New York-based Alternative Education Resource Organization. "We take a diametrically different approach that starts with the assumption that kids are natural learners.''

Mintz said in the past two decades, the number of home-schoolers nationwide has grown from about 20,000 to about 2 million. He said there are about 12,000 alternative schools, including charter and public alternatives and Montessoris.

Of those, about 200 are "democratic schools," in which students play a big role in decision-making, he said.

There has been a lot of debate, however, about the concept. While some experts say it is needed to keep children motivated and feed their innate curiosity, others have argued that kids who lack motivation can flounder.

BUT...................

(Bloomberg) Fifteen-year-olds in the U.S. ranked 25th among peers from 34 countries on a math test and scored in the middle in science and reading, while China’s Shanghai topped the charts, raising concern that the U.S. isn’t prepared to succeed in the global economy.

The Paris-based Organization for Economic Cooperation & Development, which represents 34 countries, today released the 2009 Program for International Student Assessment. For the first time, the test broke out the performance of China’s Shanghai region, which topped every country in all academic categories. The U.S. government considers the test one of the most comprehensive measures of international achievement.

North Korea Wants to Start World War III

North Korea provoking a World War seems very unlikely, unless they strike a South Korean city. Bullying is a cowards way to compensate one's weakness. North Korea does not want to start something that they can not finish. If North Korea's new inexperience leader continues to provoke South Korea with armed missiles, they will have to answer to South Korea, Japan, and the United States. The North Korean leader is way over his head similar to our current leader.

CNN International Reports China Responsible for Firing a Missile off the California Coast

The mysterious missile plume off the coast of California is being denied by Pentagon, FAA, and NORAD. In other words, they are telling the American people it didn't happen. Well, if the Pentagon spin machine is denying accountability, the most logical assessment of the plume was caused by a missile launched by a Chinese submarine. This is the story reported by CNN International and it will be the story of fact until proven otherwise.

O-BOW-MA did it AGAIN in India

Obama is the leader of the free world, or in his case, a citizen of the world. As president of the free world, Obama should not bow to any nation. The age of American exceptionalism died when Obama came into office. Obama's bowing habit needs to be stopped. The latest bowing was to the leader of India.

Other famous bowing moments:

King of Saudi Arabia

Leader of China

Lead of Japan

What!!!!! House Speaker Pelosi

At least, Obama gave a bow to someone worthy

NJ Republican Gov. Chris Christie
