TSA pat-down leaves traveler covered in urine

(MSNBC.com) TSA are not qualified to inspect passengers who have certain medical conditions that need appropriate handling. A gentleman, who is a bladder cancer survivor, wears a urostomy bag, which collects his urine from a stoma, or opening in his stomach. He went through the security scanner at Detroit Metropolitan Airport and triggered the scanner. Requesting a physical pat down, the TSA agents disregard the passengers request of a considerate pat down. Instead, during the pat down, the TSA carelessly broke the seal and urine and other contents spilled from the urostomy bag. This left the passenger distraught and embarrassed. The TSA agents felt no remorse and told the passenger to pick up his things and leave.
