Hawaii official now swears, No Obama birth certificate

Finally, the controversy of the birth certificate can come to rest. The former elections clerk signs affidavit declaring long-form, hospital-generated document does not exist.

(WND) Former Hawaii elections clerk Tim Adams has now signed an affidavit swearing he was told by his supervisors in Hawaii that no long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate existed for Barack Obama Jr. in Hawaii and that neither Queens Medical Center nor Kapi'olani Medical Center in Honolulu had any record of Obama having been born in their medical facilities.

Trump Drops F Bomb in Disgust with the Obama Administration

Donald Trump already hinted he is not going to run in 2012. Just saying he doesn't have a chance in winning the GOP nomination is a good indication that he won't waste his time. However, Trump is doing a favor for the GOP and for himself. By showcasing the faults of Obama and the Democrats, Trump is garnering high television ratings and publicity for his multi-billion dollar business. At the same time, Trump is inciting the crowd to blame the economy and whats occurring abroad on Obama. If Trump has to swear and curse to get his point across, he is doing an effective job at it.

(ABC News) Real estate developer and TV showman Donald Trump fueled speculation that he'll enter the 2012 White House race, assuring a crowd of supporters at a Las Vegas casino that he is seriously weighing a presidential run in a speech laced with the F-word.

The setting Thursday night was fitting for the casino mogul whose moniker is draped across the gold-tinged Trump International Hotel & Tower just off the Las Vegas Strip. An open bar greeted more than 1,000 people, waiters passed hors d'oeuvres, and a Trump impersonator entertained the crowd.

During a 30-minute stump speech focused mostly on foreign affairs, Trump sprinkled in a number of swear words and insults directed toward global leaders.

"Our leaders are stupid, they are stupid people," he said. "It's just very, very sad."

Trump also blasted President Barack Obama's handling of Libya, Iraq, China and Afghanistan, and in one of his many curse-bombs, he lamented the nation's focus on building schools in war-torn Afghanistan while neglecting education in the United States.

He said he wouldn't help struggling nations such as South Korea, Iraq or Libya without payment.

"I'm interested in protecting none of them unless they pay," he said.

When discussing trade, he said he would tell China's leaders, "Listen you motherf------, we're going to tax you 25 percent."

A frequent critic of the federal health care law passed last year, Trump said the Supreme Court should decide the dozens of lawsuits challenging the legislation and urged district courts not to waste their time on it.

Trump has created waves by questioning whether the president was born in the U.S. Obama produced his detailed Hawaii birth certificate Wednesday, and Trump eagerly took credit for the reveal.

But he later said, "There is a real good chance that no matter what happens I won't win because one of these blood-sucking politicians who's been bulls---ing people for years will end up still getting elected."

The Fed Will Make Sure Obama Wins in 2012

The presidential campaign headquarter is in complete denial. A double-dip recession and high unemployment aren't the only factors to derail Obama's re-election chances. It is also a dismal consumer confidence, low job approval numbers, and the poor poll numbers with the Libyan and Afghanistan war that will give the president problems.

To make assumptions that the Republicans don't have a superior candidate is inaccurate and desperate. Any GOP candidate can bet Obama. Voting Obama for a second term means another four more years of the same old crap. There is no way to improve economical conditions of this country because Obama's idiotic ideology is getting in the way. By destroying the dollar, this country will see a severe inflation that will lead into another severe recession.

(CNBC) As we approach next year's presidential elections, the chances of President Barack Obama being ousted by a rival from either side of the political divide are low, according to Thanos Papasavvas, the head of currency management at Investec Asset Management.

“History is very much on the side of the incumbent President and unless we have a double-dip recession with a significant increase in unemployment I don’t believe Obama will lose 2012,” Papasavvas said in an interview with CNBC on Thursday.

“On the economic side, any signs of a deteriorating economic environment will see the Fed enacting QE3 (the third round of quantitative easing, or creating money) and hence indirectly reducing the probability of the economy derailing Obama,” Papasavvas added.

With the Republicans divided and no major rival yet to emerge, Papasavvas believes the American right wing will keep its powder dry for 2016 when four years of fiscal austerity will play into their hands.

“With no credible Republican heavyweight to face Obama, even those who have indicated their intent to run like Mitt Romney are unlikely to burn significant political or actual capital for 2012 preferring instead to wait for the 2016 election,” said Papasavvas.

The Traveling Obama Show

Obama needs to shut up and govern. At this rate, telling the people of the Titanic that everything will be okay is not going to do it.

(The American Spectator) In the first few moments of his speech at Northern Virginia Community College on Tuesday, President Obama gave the game away.
He said he ventured to the campus, a mere 17 miles from Washington, to "get out of the immediate environs of Washington and hear directly from voters and have a conversation with them."

Voters?

The election is 19 months away. The government's collision with its debt ceiling is about one month away, maybe less. How is Obama spending the first of the four weeks (if that) he has left before the government -- over which he allegedly presides -- hits its credit limit? He is campaigning for reelection.

Obama's three-stop trip to California and back "has all the markings of a campaign swing," according to Bloomberg News. That's because it is one. Los Angeles-based Democratic strategist Bill Carrick told Bloomberg that the trip was not really campaigning, but, well, with it the White House will "start focusing on swing states early so you can broaden the electoral map."

In the trip's public speeches, Obama has portrayed Republicans as cold-hearted agents of the greedy rich who work to squeeze a few more dimes from the peasants by "cutting children out of Head Start." Not a campaign trip? Sure, and Donald Trump has a lovely flaxen mane.

If this story sounds somewhat familiar, that's because in only two years the president has repeated it incessantly. When the stimulus bill was making its way through Congress, Obama took to the road to sell it to the people. His budget? Ditto. The health care bill? Months of the Traveling Obama Show.

The man loves to talk. He loves the performance and the attention it brings. But at this point in the Obama presidency, it should be obvious to someone in the West Wing that this is an enterprise of rapidly diminishing returns. What is gained from the expulsion of so much wind from the president's overtaxed lungs?

Passage of major legislation? Obama's nearly three dozen speeches actually hurt the cause of health care reform. The health care bill, which he let Congress craft as he flew around the nation talking, was passed through the old-fashioned back-room arm twisting of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, not the persuasive powers of the president. The stimulus bill passed because it was a traditional Congressional goodie bag, not because the president converted reluctant lawmakers into Keynesians.

How can Obama win the future if he can't even win independents? Obama's answer: Give more speeches! The right answer: Park Air Force One, unplug the teleprompter, roll up the sleeves, and govern.

Eric Holder will Investigate High Gas Price, Possible Tea Party Involvement LOL

Eric Holder found disturbing irregularities with the high gas price. Well, it is obvious that Obama's presidential re-election bid in 2012 looks very dismal, and Holder is scared that he will be out of a job. Since speculation in the market, which is a normal stock market occurrence, can drive a commodity through the roof, it could have detrimental effect in our daily life. Holder is reaching the bottom of the barrel to find out the cause of the high gas price. Well, I have some (crazy) thoughts on the matter. Holder suspects an al-Qaeda and Taliban involvement to the crisis. There is a high possibility that a Christian organization is aiding and abetting the manipulation of the oil market. There is a consideration that Israel is to be blamed. Holder will decided if the proceedings for a trail be done in civilian court or at GITMO. There are rumors that Holder will investigate the TEA PARTY movement for their primary role in driving the oil market and depreciation of the dollar. Honestly, Eric Holder is way over his head.

(Reuters) - Attorney General Eric Holder said on Tuesday that he saw some "disturbing" things in the energy markets, which support forming the task force unveiled last week to investigate possible fraud and manipulation.

"There are at least a couple of things that are I think disturbing and I think we'll look into those," Holder told reporters when asked if he believed people were illegally manipulating the market. He declined to identify his concerns.

"But again I don't want go too far out there and say that that is the reason why we have seen these gas price rises, but there is I think a basis for us to announce the formation of the task force," he said.

The Obama administration unveiled the task force working group as President Barack Obama tried to head off a political headache of soaring gasoline prices as his 2012 re-election bid begins.

Trump is Creating an Agenda for the American People

We are in the beginning of the presidential cycle. Donald Trump is creating a buzz that he is running for president. Trump is a billionaire and I highly doubt he would give up his real estate venture, his billions, and his TV personality for a lousy $400,000/yr president salary. Instead, Trump is creating a narrative about Obama and the American people are responding. The birth certificate issue has resurfaced. The economy and jobs is making the news. Trump understands that high gas price will hurt America. In fact, Trump is putting an agenda for the American public to decide what is important for the 2012 election. So far, the birth certificate issue is what really concerns him the most and the America public is starting to support it.

(USA TODAY) Fifty percent of Americans, including 31% of Republicans, say Trump would make a “poor” or “terrible” president.

“Trump is filling a huge void in the Republican Party right now, and he’s gathering a protest vote: protest against the way Washington works; protest with the establishment Republicans,” says Scott Reed, manager for Bob Dole’s 1996 presidential campaign. “The jury is still out whether Trump can translate that into a real candidacy for president.”

His possible bid faces broad resistance: 63% of Americans, including 46% of Republicans, say they definitely will not vote for Trump for president. In comparison, 46% of Americans say they definitely will not vote for President Obama — significantly lower but itself a hurdle to winning the 2012 election.

Though Trump initially got attention by expressing doubts whether Obama was born in the USA, that issue is not driving his support. Among those who say they definitely or might vote for Trump, only about a third question whether the president was born in the USA.

Support from the “birthers” is stronger for Sarah Palin, Mike Huckabee and Mitt Romney. The issue has persisted even though Hawaii has released an official Certificate of Live Birth showing Obama was born there, a fact confirmed in non-partisan investigations by FactCheck.org and others.

Still, in the USA TODAY poll, only 38% of Americans say Obama definitely was born in the USA, and 18% say he probably was. Fifteen percent say he probably was born in another country, and 9% say he definitely was born elsewhere.

Donald Trump and Sarah Palin Dubbed by Media as Pariahs

It is unfair that Palin and Trump are dubbed by the media as pariahs. The media is scared that Trump for actually speaking the truth and putting the issues against Obama on the spotlight. On the other hand, the media is deathly scared of Palin because she, like Trump, will attack with a smile.

(NY Daily News) Donald Trump and Sarah Palin have more in common than being mega-celebrities with their own reality TV shows -- they are both treated unfairly by the media, too, according to the former Alaska governor.

Palin rushed to the defense of the billionaire real estate mogul and aspiring GOP presidential candidate Tuesday, ripping claims that his platform consists only of doubts that President Obama was born in the U.S.

"I do have respect for Donald Trump and for his candidness. I think people are craving that today," Palin told Fox News' Sean Hannity.

"Trump is the one being really treated unfairly I'd say, though in the press when they're hammering him about the one issue that he has brought up and not been shy about, and that's the birth certificate. He's merely answering reporters' questions," she said. "Trump is running on the issue that President Obama is so far over his head."

Palin, of course, is an outspoken critic of what she has dubbed the "lamestream media," arguing that she and other conservatives, particularly women, are treated unfairly.

Trump also sang Palin's praises this week.

"I really respect her a lot. She's got a tremendous energy and a tremendous following. I think she's been very unfairly treated," Trump said on NBC's "Today."

Trump said he'll make a decision on whether he'll make a bid for the Oval Office before his show "Celebrity Apprentice" wraps this summer.

As for Palin, forming a presidential exploratory committee "isn't even on the radar," she said.

Obama Rushes to Sell GM Stock at a Lost

The government is willing to take a loss with the bailout with GM because the Obama administration would like to sever its last ties to the auto maker; of course, at the expense of the taxpayers. It is already a lost cause. Obama dump billions into the auto industry and for what? GM built defective cars with steering wheels that come off, electric cars that causes electrical spark, electric cars that can cause an electric fire while plugged in, and building smaller cars that people don't want. It is a huge waste to the people tax dollars. This need to end right now.

(WSJ) The U.S. government plans to sell a significant share of its remaining stake in General Motors Co. this summer despite the disappointing performance of the auto maker's stock, people familiar with the matter said.

A sale within the next several months would almost certainly mean U.S. taxpayers will take a loss on their $50 billion rescue of the Detroit auto maker in 2009.

To break even, the U.S. Treasury would need to sell its remaining stake—about 500 million shares—at $53 apiece. GM closed off 27 cents a share at $29.97 in 4 p.m. trading Monday on the New York Stock Exchange, hitting a new low since its $33-a-share November initial public offering.

"Planning for the sale of our remaining GM stock is still at an early stage, and the IPO lock-up does not expire until late May," a Treasury spokesperson said. "At that point, we will consider all of our options, based on our twin goals of protecting taxpayers' interests and exiting as soon as practicable."

Shares have been hurt by rising fuel prices, industry production disruptions and management turnover. At Monday's price, and taking into account shares sold during the IPO, taxpayers would lose more than $11 billion on the rescue if the government dumped the rest of its stake now.

Government officials are willing to take the loss because the Obama administration would like to sever its last ties to the auto maker, the people familiar with the matter said. A summer sale makes it more likely Treasury could sell all of its stake in GM by year's end, avoiding a potentially controversial sale in the 2012 presidential election year.

Obama, How Did This Reporter Get In Here

Obama is unable to take the heat from rogue reporters. The frustration and embarrassment can be seen on Obama's face. Unable to use his Teleprompter or his flash cards, Obama was boxed in a corner, which caused him to get into an aggressive posture. Instead of being dignified, Obama lashes out with vile arrogance. His intention was trying to control the press conference, but instead, the president looked like an idiot.

(USA Today)President Obama has troubles with voters in Texas, and, apparently, with interviewers from the Lone Star State as well.

"Let me finish my answers the next time we do an interview, all right?" Obama told reporter Brad Watson after an interview with WFAA-TV of Dallas, one of four interviews with local television stations at the White House on Monday.

The exchange is toward the end of the video.

At one point, Watson asked the president: "Why do you think you're so unpopular in Texas?"

After some jousting about the size of his loss in Texas in 2008 -- the president said it was "a few percentage points," but it was more like 11.8% -- Obama told his interviewer: "If what you're telling me is that Texas is a conservative state, you're absolutely right."

Obama also bristled at claims that his administration skipped Houston in the award of space shuttle orbiters and favored states that could help his re-election.

"That's wrong," the president stated. "That had nothing to do with it; the White House had nothing to do with it."

When Watson persisted, Obama said, "I just said that was wrong," and, later, "I just said that wasn't true."

As for re-election, Obama said he isn't giving up on winning Texas.

"I never write off any states," Obama said. "I love Texas."

After 3 Month Absent, Sarah Palin Still Has Star Power in Wisconsin

After a brief stint away from the media, Sarah Palin comes out swinging. Since the presidential campaign season started early, Palin wanted to keep her supporters excited for her eventual announcement to run for the presidency in 2012. After a 3 month absent, Palin still has the star power to attack thousand of supporters at a speech rally in Wisconsin.

(Reuters) Conservative Sarah Palin returned to the U.S. political arena on Saturday after several months absence with a feisty speech attacking both the establishment Republican Party and Democratic President Barack Obama and proclaiming "the 2012 elections begin here."

In a move apparently aimed at keeping her name in the running for the Republican nomination in next year's presidential election, Palin addressed several thousand people in Wisconsin, a state bitterly divided by a political fight over union rights.

Palin has been mostly absent from politics since the January shooting of U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords in Arizona, when she was criticized for accusing opponents of manufacturing a "blood libel" against her.

That absence has seen her standing slide among potential frontrunners for the Republican nomination.

As snow and sleet fell on Madison's main square, Palin attacked the budget compromise between Republicans and Obama on cuts of around $38 billion instead of $100 billion promised by Republicans in elections last November.

"That is not courage, that is capitulation," she said, adding that a recent bruising battle in Wisconsin over union bargaining rights provided a number of lessons.

"We didn't elect you just to rearrange the deck chairs on a sinking Titanic," she said. "We didn't elect you just to stand back and watch Obama redistribute those deck chairs."

While former governors Mitt Romney and Tim Pawlenty have announced they hope to be candidates to challenge Obama, Palin, the 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate, has not said whether she will seek the Republican nomination for president.

By coming to Madison, the scene of mass demonstrations over a bill to limit union bargaining rights that Governor Scott Walker and local Republicans passed in March, Republican strategists said Palin was guaranteed media exposure.

Oprah Throws Obama Under the Bus

Between making millions and maintaining viewership versus keeping Obama as a friend, Oprah decides to throw the president under the bus.

(Digital Spy)Oprah Winfrey reportedly does not plan to publicly support Barack Obama in the 2012 US presidential election.

Winfrey supported Obama’s campaign in 2008, holding a highly publicised political rally for him during his presidential challenge.

According to a Gallup poll conducted before the rally, Winfrey’s favourable ratings fell from 74 to 66% while her unfavourable ratings jumped from 17 to 26%.

Her TV show ratings also fell following the event.

A source has told PopEater that Winfrey doesn’t want to do anything to alienate viewers now that she has launched her OWN network.

Obama Solution for Higher Gas Price is to Buy a New Efficient Car

The arrogance by the president is not welcoming to the American people. In addition, the "smart" sarcastic answer by the president to a potential voter's question was unwarranted. I thought Obama's comment to put air in the tires to counter the high gas price was stupid, but forcing us to change our gas guzzler to a better fuel efficient car is going over the top. I think it is time to vote this jackass out of office once and for all before he destroys America.

(Herald News) FAIRLESS HILLS, Pa. — Pitching the promise of energy independence, President Barack Obama cautioned Wednesday that it’s going to be tough to transition from America’s oil-dependent economy and acknowledged there’s little he can do to lower gas prices over the short term.

“I’m just going to be honest with you. There’s not much we can do next week or two weeks from now,” the president told workers at a wind turbine plant. It’s a theme Obama’s struck before as he tries to show voters he’s attuned to a top economic concern with gas prices pushing toward $4 a gallon.

Obama said he wants to move toward “a future where America is less dependent on foreign oil, more reliant on clean energy produced by workers like you.” That will happen by reducing oil imports, tapping domestic energy sources and shifting the nation to renewable and less polluting sources of energy, such as wind, the president says. He has set a goal of reducing oil imports by one-third by 2025.

But the president said it won’t happen overnight and if any politician says it’s easy, “they’re not telling the truth.”

“Gas prices? They’re going to still fluctuate until we can start making these broader changes, and that’s going to take a couple of years to have serious effect,” Obama said.

Obama needled one questioner who asked about gas prices, now averaging close to $3.70 a gallon nationwide, and suggested that the gentleman consider getting rid of his gas-guzzling vehicle.

“If you’re complaining about the price of gas and you’re only getting 8 miles a gallon, you know,” Obama said laughingly. “You might want to think about a trade-in.”

With the Libyan War, Obama Neglects the Troops Dying in Afghanistan

While Obama is "concentrating" on Libya, the president is neglecting another important or "good" war in Afghanistan. This "good" war is unjust because Obama doesn't have a clear mission for our troops. He actually added more soldiers to Afghanistan without an objective. The travesty of the war is the incompetence in the leadership by Obama. The president is deliberately ignoring the war in Afghanistan while trying to concentrate the war in Libya for political expediency. It is an election year cycle, you know.

(CNSNews.com) – At least 858 U.S. soldiers have died in the Afghanistan war since President Barack Obama took office in January 2009. That equals 60.13 percent of the 1,427 American soldier fatalities so far in the ongoing 10-year war in that country.

For March 2011, there were 26 U.S. military deaths in Afghanistan, including 4 non-combat related fatalities. That brought the total combat and non-combat deaths for 2011 (January, February, and March) to 70. Those fatalities include 57 combat-related deaths and 13 non-combat deaths.

For the 858 U.S. deaths since Obama’s inauguration, 791 have been combat-related. This means that for the 1,241 combat-related deaths that occurred since the Afghanistan war began in October 2001, about 64 percent happened in the two years since Obama took office.

Last year was the deadliest for U.S. forces in Afghanistan, with 497 combat and non-combat fatalities. Improvised explosive devices (IEDs), or homemade bombs, continue to be the number one killer of U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan.

Obama Need to Win the Libyan War to Win Re Election

Rush Limbaugh is very wise to see through the bogus rubbish of Obama. The speech to the union addressing the Libyan crisis had a hidden objective. It was to make Obama look presidential and a proud American. It was very different when Obama was elected into office. The apology tour to the Muslim world was a dead giveaway. Now, Obama puts himself in the spotlight with the Libyan war, which he needs to win to win re-election. It is Obama's make or break moment. If Gaddafi loses, every media outlet will make Obama a war hero and it will be the news til election day. If Gaddafi wins, Obama has other wars he can conjure up before November 2012.

(Rush Limbaugh says Obama sudden Patriotism is because it is an election year)
CALLER: I'm really worried after listening to the speech, I have a feeling there's an impostor or doppelganger or something going on here, because for years we've heard him talk about and apologize for actions like this from America --

RUSH: Yeah.

CALLER: -- and that he's proud of America, his wife for the first time because he's dominated, what's going on? I don't understand.

RUSH: 2012, reelection. Yeah, I know what you're talking about. You're talking about Obama talk about freedom and the United States is the engine of freedom. We guarantee it and anybody who wants it, they have to call us, we're the only people that can guarantee it, fight for it, give it to 'em. American exceptionalism, all of that, right? You heard that last night. I couldn't believe it.

CALLER: I couldn't. I was stunned. This is not the America I heard him describe, ever.

RUSH: No. But it's called reelection 2012. It's "2012 or Bust" time, is what this is. He's lost the independents. He lost the independents in the November election. He's gotta get the independents back. Remember, now, when he ran for election -- when he ran against America -- he was running against an unpopular George W. Bush and against an unpopular Bush policy: Iraq. It wasn't until he was elected that he actually ran around and started apologizing for the country. It wasn't until after he was elected that people's radar was tuned on. Ours, you and I, we knew all long, but it wasn't 'til after the election that people started wondering: Does this guy really not like the country that much?

Now he's got to make it look like he does. We're in reelection mode. Remember, now: Liberals can never be honest about who they are and get elected, particularly in a national election. So I want to just... You know, Michael, be prepared because not only are you frustrated but you are gonna get doubly frustrated as people believe this going into the campaign. You're gonna get doubly frustrated when you hear the liberal hacks on all the cable networks talk about American exceptionalism and how Obama defines it in fact. You're gonna have your intelligence insulted multiple times a day, multiple times a night.

You're gonna be asking yourself, "Do people not remember the past two years?" You're gonna be asking yourself that -- and the reason is, it's similar to the monologue I dug into last week in Wisconsin. We do things by the rules. We persuade hearts and minds and then we go have an election and then we win. So we think it's time to implement our ideas. When we lose elections what do we do? We say, "They won. They get their judges. They get this or that." They never lose. They'll thwart the democratic process at all costs. Now, there's, I think, another way to explain this to people.

You can do it. It's hard hitting, but you can do it within the entire context of freedom. Have you ever noticed that leftists, wherever they are -- here in America or the Soviet Union or Cuba -- have to wage war on freedom? They have to wage war on liberty. Liberty and freedom are the enemies to their existence. They are statists, authoritarians. They believe in dictatorship, tyranny, central planning, and control. We, on the other hand, believe in freedom. We welcome it. We want it for everybody. We don't try to impose a thing on people. Now, liberalism, leftism, communism, Marxism, whatever it is, is an enemy. We fight it, but not in the same way they fight us. They can never rest. If there is freedom anywhere, liberalism is threatened. We, on the other hand, never feel threatened when people are free, even to be liberals.

So whereas it is not our natural inclination to eliminate them -- not just from positions of power, but from virtual existence -- it is their objective to eliminate any opposition that is rooted in freedom. It's the #1 enemy they face. So we win the election. Scott Walker wins in Wisconsin. We implement policies that were campaigned on. Those policies are in direct contradiction and they contravene the beliefs of the American left, and they challenge their bread and butter. They challenge their economics; they challenge their lifestyles. So anything is fair game to defeat, impugn, get rid of or what have you their enemies in Wisconsin -- and they'll stop at nothing. The law doesn't stop them (you know, a fake judge, renegade judge or what have you). So we're fighting, you know, with two different, completely different motivations

Everybody in DC was on Vacation when Obama Went to War with Libya

Our government is an embarrassment. On the surface, it was a coincidence that the war in Libya started days after Congress decided to go on a 10-day vacation. From quoting Democrat Congress Dennis J. Kucinich, “Who’s minding the store while we’re at war?”, our government was asleep at the helm. Obama finally give an official announcement to our Congress several days after taking upon himself to go to war with Libya. Americans should be vastly concerned that we have an incompetent government. We have not ridden the cancer that is spreading throughout this country. We need more Republicans and all the Democrats voted out in the next elections. Because our economy sucks and the world around us is unraveling, we need a new set of leaders in Washington to fix the mess we are in.

(Washington Times) The world is at war, but Washington is eerily empty, devoid of all the power players who normally foster a soul-searching debate when the country goes on the attack.

President Obama made the decision to bomb Libya from Brazil, the top congressional leadership is all out of town as Congress takes a 10-day vacation, and Vice President Joseph R. Biden spent the weekend in Wilmington, Del. Even Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates was traveling in Russia on Monday.

Now, all four top leaders are gone: House Speaker John A. Boehner was in Ohio for his daughter’s wedding this weekend, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi was traveling in Rome on official business after a weekend stop in Afghanistan, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid was in Nevada, and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is traveling and doing some fundraising this week.

The lack of organized debate in the U.S. contrasts starkly with Britain, where Prime Minister David Cameron faced his colleagues in Parliament directly Monday, and answered their questions.

“Who’s minding the store while we’re at war?” said Rep. Dennis J. Kucinich, an Ohio Democrat who tried to spark a debate on military action last week before Congress went on vacation, and who has since called for Congress to reconvene.

“Think about this for a moment. In the last week they had time to garner 10 votes at the U.N., they had time to talk to the Arab League [and consult with] NATO, France and Britain. It seems the administration talked to everyone but the United States Congress, which has the constitutional authority to commit this country to war,” Mr. Kucinich said.

Conservative Blog RedState Gives 2 thumbs up for Sarah Palin

A very well-known conservative blog, RedState, gives two-thumbs up for Sarah Palin. They summarized the accomplishments of Sarah Palin and the sites to back their claim. It is striking that the GOP establishment is only looking for a Republican candidate who can win the 2012 election. Instead, they should be looking for someone who will work the will of the people and change Washington. While every GOP contender established themselves as viable candidates, only Sarah Palin has proven to walk the walk and talk the talk. Besides, Sarah Palin is a threat to the mainstream media, the GOP establishment, and Liberal loons. I ask this to you, "Why are they scared of her?"

(RedState) OK, JSob, I finally got around to writing down my thoughts on the matter:

One of the most oft-repeated criticisms of Sarah Palin is that she doesn’t have any “accomplishments”. The usual line of attack, borrowed from the Lamestream Media, is that she couldn’t hack it as governor for more than two years, resigning in tears when confronted with the evidence of her unethical dealings (somehow she simultaneously gets blamed for the ethics laws themselves), and fleeing the state of Alaska in order to rake in the cash from her rabid cult following in the lower 48. Or something. Nary a mention of the Vice Presidential campaign, the long knives of the media and the Chicago mob machine, the dismissal of all ethics complaints, the crushing financial burden of defending herself from these charges, or her desire to serve her country at the national level. The fraudulent allegations of these cynical bystanders deserve a rebuttal.

Governor Palin has “accomplished” many things not only as governor, but also as a city councilwoman, mayor, and oil and gas commissioner. During her time in Wasilla, she cut property taxes, opposed unnecessary government regulations, prioritized infrastructure development, and attracted jobs and businesses to the city. Under her leadership, the town was grew and prospered. Her terms as city councilwoman and mayor are chronicled here and here. As a governor, Palin cut spending. She had two major legislative accomplishments: AGIA (Alaska Gasline Inducement Act), which restarted a stalled project to build a pipeline to deliver Alaska’s oil and natural gas to the lower 48, and ACES (Alaskans’ Clear and Equitable Share), which restructured a disastrous system of taxing oil comapnies to one that worked better for both the people of Alaska and the oil companies. Some of Palin’s opponents (such as members of the CBC that were abusing the tax system) have criticized this plan as “redistributing wealth” since it taxes oil companies and gives individual Alaskans a check from oil revenues. However, the Alaskan Constitution specifies that the resources of Alaska belong to the people (not the state, which would be socialist), oil companies were already taxed (but corruption flourished under Murkowski), and in reality a shareholder model would be the more appropriate analogy. Instead of the state wasting the money, citizens are given back their tax dollars (more on this later). More information about her actions in office can be found here and here.

All this is great. But none of it gets to the heart of Palin’s true accomplishments. Her true legacy lies in her steel spine, her faith and values, her unwavering dedication to standing up and speaking out for the little guy against those who would seek to take advantage of him (or her), and her unrelenting commitment to always doing the right thing, no matter the personal or political cost.

Finally, someone has chronicled these intangible attributes, as well as some of her more concrete achievements, in one succinct article. Whitney Pitcher of C4P articulates better than I ever could 47 reasons why Governor Palin is preeminently qualified to be President, in honor of Palin’s 47th birthday. I highly recommend that you read through the list, and I challenge you to name one other candidate whose accomplishments measure up to Palin’s. It is increasingly clear that she is the only person for the job.

Sarah Palins Accomplishments Puts Other GOP Candidates to Shame

It is the start of the 2012 Presidential campaign season. The major players from the GOP are beginning to emerge into the spotlight. For those who know me, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that I am a very big Palin supporter. Like myself, there are many supporter throughout the country who support Sarah Palin. However, there are many that are ignorant and misguided to accept her as a major contender in 2012. In fact, there are many who share a sexist mentality that a woman is not ready to lead a nation. I found a blog with facts about the accomplishments of Sarah Palin. It is a real eye opener for those who keeps ranting she is not presidential material.

(Conservative4Palin) One of the many memes the GOP establishment, the Left and the media try to stick to Governor Palin is that she is unqualified to be President if she chooses to run. With today being her 47th birthday, it’s odd that so many people think she is younger than thirty-five years old! So, in honor of her birthday, I’d like to share 47 reasons Governor Palin is qualified to be President above and beyond constitutional requirements. In no particular order:

1) She won’t perjure herself by taking the Presidential oath of office like many of her potential opponents.

2) She has 9 years of executive experience, more than 3 times as much as the current President. As Governor, she held the 2nd most powerful gubernatorial office in the country.

3)She knows how to budget. In her years as Governor, she reduced the state budget 9.5% over her predecessor and put $5 billion in state savings.

4) She reduced federal earmark requests 80% as Governor over her predecessor, recognizing the need for fiscal responsibility at both state and national levels.

5) She’s a proven reformer. She strove to break the bonds between Alaskan politicians and oil companies and passed sweeping ethics reform.

6) She believes in true governmental transparency. As Governor, she put the state checkbook online to allow constituents to know how and where the state was spending revenue. During the negotiations of one of the cornerstones of her administration, the Alaska Gasline Inducement Act (AGIA), all proposals were made available for public consumption.

7) In signing the AGIA legislation and the progress that continues to this day, she brought a transcontinental pipeline project from Alaska to the Lower 48 further than 30 years of previous administrations. AGIA is the largest private sector infrastructure project in North American history.

8 ) She believes in oversight not over regulation for energy development. She opened an Petroleum Integrity Office to oversee energy development in Alaska.

9) She believes in an all-of-the-above approach to energy development, including opening up ANWR, on shore drilling, off shore drilling, natural gas, coal, nuclear, and renewables.

10) She understands the effects of quantitative easing will have on the economy in general and on commodity prices specifically.

11) She would have the intestinal fortitude to actually take on reformation of entitlement programs to help derail the bullet train to bankruptcy.

12) For the role of the presidency, the Constitution devotes the majority of its text to the role of commander-in-chief. Governor Palin would take this role seriously as displayed by her commitment to America’s military and her desire for a strong national defense.

13) As part of her commitment to strong national defense, she criticized the Obama administration for making cuts to missile defense, and she stands strongly against the START treaty between Russia and America.

14) She has been firmly against Obamacare from the beginning of legislative talks and strongly supports repeal.

15) She truly sees America as an exceptional nation because of its people. She praises what makes America unique; she doesn’t apologize.

16) She puts principles above party and political expediency.

17) She has stood strongly for securing America’s borders, as shown by her support of Arizona’s immigration law.

18) She is strongly pro-life–a welcomed far cry from the most pro-abortion president in history now occupying the White House.

19) She supports human rights, particularly speaking out against the human rights abuses in China, Iran, and amongst peoples who embrace Sharia law.

20) With regard to foreign policy, she has a far better grasp situation in Egypt with regard to the potential of the Muslim brotherhood’s involvement in a new government and Mubarak’s plans better than members of President Obama’s intelligence team, Leon Panetta and James Clapper.

21) She actually had private sector experience that would enable her to understand what it takes to make payroll and budget within one’s means, unlike the majority of members of the Obama administration.

22) She’s a strong advocate for the 10th amendment, showing she understands not only the balance of powers between the branches of the federal government, but also between the federal and state governments.

23) She shows grace under fire. In spite of having accusations of blood libel launched against her, she stood strongly and gracefully for the victims of the shooting in Tucson and for the freedom of open political discourse.

24) Beyond her political achievements and strong conservative stances, she has character. In spite of two and a half years of a constant barrage of ethics complaints, smears, lies, and media misrepresentation, she has remained strong.

25) She has the ability to communicate with people across the spectrums of age, education, and background. She’s just as comfortable speaking to with businesspeople in Hong Kong as she is speaking to GOP supporters in California or pro-life advocates in Indiana.

26) She stands strongly with America’s allies, like Israel.

27) The American people stand with her on the issues more than they do the current president.

28) She has already taken on the Establishment in Alaska and won.

29) She lives America’s motto — in God we trust.

30) She ticks off all the right people.

31) She believes that shrinking government expands individual freedom.

32) She understands the threats of countries like Iran.

33) She understands the difference between separation of church and state and separation of God and state.

34) As Governor, she forward funded education, giving schools greater flexibility and predictability in their planning.

35) She was prescient of the
Obama administration’s plans and policies as far back as September of 2008
, and she can effectively reverse these policies.

36) She is a firm advocate of freedom of speech, even standing up for those who have denigrated her.

37) She knows how to respond to the largest environmental disaster in our nation’s history, unlike our current president.

38) She believes America needs to restored, not fundamentally transformed.

39) She has the optimism of Reagan with the tenacity of Thatcher.

40) With Governor Palin as President, the era of big government would really be over.

41) She doesn’t believe in identity politics or put people in a box. She sees individual Americans, not voting blocs.

42) She’s an American first, conservative second, and Republican third.

43) She speaks from the heart, not a teleprompter.

44) She is a leader, not a politician.

45) She believes in developing a strong work ethic.

46) She learns from others who have been at the other end of the political and religious spectrum–Reagan was a former Democrat, Thomas Sowell is a former Marxist, and C.S. Lewis was a former atheist.

47) She’s not afraid to go rogue.

Mitt Romney is a Poor Choice to be a Presidential Contender

While Sarah Palin is being excoriated by the liberal media and the GOP establishment, it is rare to hear anything negative from the other potential GOP candidates planning to run for the presidency in 2012. There is a reason behind it. The media and the liberal establishment already have the ammo to attack the GOP contenders. It is only Sarah Palin that the Liberal elitist and the GOP establishment are very scared. Honestly, I'm glad the story of Romney came out. He is a prime example of a poor choice to lead this country. Most people will overlook one fault about the man, but not two. Mitt Romney destroyed Massachusetts by implementing Romneycare. Now, by understanding that Romney is a vicious businessman, his ideas will ruin this country rather than to improve it.

(NY Post) Likely Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has been out on the pre-campaign trail this month saying he is the man to get Americans back to work, despite a spotty jobs record while on Wall Street.

However, the former private equity firm chief's fortune -- which has funded his political ambitions from the Massachusetts statehouse to his unsuccessful run for the White House in 2008 -- was made on the backs of companies that ultimately collapsed, putting thousands of ordinary Americans out on the street. That truth if it becomes widely known could become costly to Romney, who, while making the media rounds recently, told CNN's Piers Morgan that "People in America want to know who can get 15 million people back to work," implying he was that person.

Romney's private equity firm, Bain Capital, bought companies and often increased short-term earnings so those businesses could then borrow enormous amounts of money. That borrowed money was used to pay Bain dividends. Then those businesses needed to maintain that high level of earnings to pay their debts. Majority of those companies end up in bankruptcy.

Romney said:

He was not involved in decisions to take distributions from two Bain Capital businesses that later failed. (New York Times, June 3, 2007)

“People in America want to know who can get 15 million people back to work.”

Romney did:

Owned a controlling interest in Bain Capital when it took payments from five companies that later failed.

Made fortunes by bankrupting five profitable businesses that ended up firing thousands of workers
