Emma Watson is showing the world that fashion can be eco-friendly through her latest Fairtrade Fortnight collection with People Tree.In this video from the new campaign, Watson shows off some pieces from the new spring/summer collection, which promotes the issue of sustainability in the fashion industry. ?The design process continued with me trying on each and every piece to get the fits just as I wanted them and then I visited Bangladesh to see the clothing actually being made and meet the people making it,? said Watson. ?It was an incredible and life-changing experience ?I really wish everyone had the chance to see the difference Fair Trade makes with their own eyes.? And she says there?s many things about fair trade clothing that may surprise us. ?Fair Trade fashion is often completely handmade ? and made of 100% natural and organic cotton ? and it?s a small miracle that we as consumers can participate in a process that is keeping skills and communities alive and helping them to prosper.? Look for dresses made from silk gingham checks, florals, polka-dot handweaves and jersey wrap arounds, as well as more relaxed styles in the form of playsuits, harems and kimono jersey shirts. Shop the collection at peopletree.co.uk. ?Kim Peiffer
