...for the vainglorious. One assumes this dressing table might be for a man as it is described as the "Beau Brummel". It is made is satinwood, in the Sheraton style, c.1900, and is for sale at the Dallas Auction Gallery as detailed here.
It is unlikely that you would use the various jars and glass bottles in the almost complete set, but it is a beautiful piece of furniture in its own right. Perhaps for the man who has everything. Including good taste if he bought this.
