Slipped but not shoddy

I did quite unashamedly dismiss the idea of a throw over a sofa/chair as an unsightly and unwelcome design trend in this post.

These two examples of chairs covered in white cotton are however a completely different story and worthy of praise and emulation. Whilst not my personally preferred style - I favour properly fitted and upholstered chairs - they are perfectly acceptable, and even more importantly where these things matter - practical.

The overall desirability is of course made that much easier by good bone structure, and by that I mean the pieces of furniture themselves, and the other pieces of furniture in which they find themselves.

I am also rather enamoured of the mirrors in the lower picture, punctuated by simple metallic frames, and I think they will work very well in a new scheme I am plotting.
