As the World Fall to Ruins, Obama Just Laughs

As we watch the Middle East crumbling and the havoc taken place in Japan, Obama is enjoying a leisurely time golfing and picking his NCAA tournament bracket. It is blatantly clear Obama is not ready to lead. In fact, he rather be a world citizen than a world leader. While Obama refers himself as a non-interventionist, America is not immune to the effects of the instability around the world. The stock market is tanking again and inflation's ugly face is resurfacing again. Now, the treasury is planning to print more money, which won't go well with the American people. As many people describes Obama resembling to Jimmy Carter, it is incorrect because Obama is in a class on its own.

(White House Dossier) The Middle East is afire with rebellion, Japan is imploding from an earthquake, and the battle of the budget is on in the United States, but none of this seems to be deterring President Obama from a heavy schedule of childish distractions.

The newly installed tandem of White House Chief of Staff William Daley and Senior Adviser David Plouffe were supposed to impart a new sense of discipline and purpose to the White House. Instead, they are permitting him to showcase himself as a poorly focused leader who has his priorities backward.

This morning, as Japan’s nuclear crisis enters a potentially catastrophic phase, we are told that Obama is videotaping his NCAA tournament picks and that we’ll be able to tune into ESPN Wednesday to find out who he likes.

Vermont Senator Capitalizing Arizona Tragedy with a Campaign Fundraiser

When former Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel said, "Don't let a good crisis go to waste," I didn't expect anyone using the tragic event in Arizona to promote a campaign fundraiser. This is exactly what Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont) has done. He sent out a fundraising appeal, seeking to raise money to fight Republicans and other conservative extremist responsible for the environment that led to the Arizona shooting.

In Sanders appeal to his constituents, he wrote,

"Given the recent tragedy in Arizona, as well as the start of the new Congress, I wanted to take this opportunity to share a few words with political friends in Vermont and throughout the country. I also want to thank the very many supporters who have begun contributing online to my 2012 reelection campaign at www.bernie.org. There is no question but that the Republican Party, big money corporate interests and right-wing organizations will vigorously oppose me. Your financial support now and in the future is much appreciated.....

What should be understood is that the violence, and threats of violence against Democrats in Arizona, was not limited to Gabrielle Giffords. Raul Grijalva, an old friend of mine and one of the most progressive members in the House, was forced to close his district office this summer when someone shot a bullet through his office window. Another Democratic elected official in Arizona, recently defeated Congressman Harry Mitchell, suspended town meetings in his district because of the threatening phone calls that he received (Mitchell was also in the cross-hairs on the Palin map). And Judge John Roll, who was shot to death at the Giffords event, had received numerous threatening calls and death threats in 2009.

In light of all of this violence – both actual and threatened – is Arizona a state in which people who are not Republicans are able to participate freely and fully in the democratic process? Have right-wing reactionaries, through threats and acts of violence, intimidated people with different points of view from expressing their political positions?"

Overall, Bernie Sander's intent is very tacky and in poor taste. To capitalize a tragedy for a personal gain as a campaign fundraiser is very disingenuous.
