Actor David Arquette was injured in a car accident on Friday afternoon, celebrity gossip site TMZ.com reports.
Photos on the website show Arquette lying on the ground,�near his smashed silver Cadillac. (Click to see the images on TMZ.) A witness told the website that the actor was driving in�West Hollywood when the accident happened. The car in front of the actor's came to a sudden stop, and Arquette swerved into oncoming traffic to avoid the car, but hit the one going in the opposite direction, the witness said.
The actor was taken to the hospital via ambulance.
